What is POS? Understand what it is for and its importance

Do you know what POS is? More than that, do you know how important these “three little letters” are for your business? Well, below we will explain in detail the need to create good strategies and invest in excellent management of your POS. However, first let's explain the basic concept of what POS is. Among them, the following data stand out: 55% of shoppers in Latin America decide on a brand at the point of sale; 60% of purchasing decisions from this same audience are made at the POS. In other words, the way in which the products will be displayed at the POS makes all the difference when the consumer chooses the goods.

The point of sale is essential to the success of your business Whether your store is physical, virtual or phygital (present in both channels), having a good point of sale is essential for the success of your business. Furthermore, it doesn't matter what you sell. The POS is the place (again, physical or online) where everything planned actually happens. In other words, it is at the POS that you put into practice all your strategies that involve the layout of your brand, the display of products, strengthening the relationship with the customer, offering benefits and facilities for the consumer, strengthening the relationship with them, among others. The customer can (and should!) interact with your brand through other channels. However, it is at the POS that “the magic” happens.
