South of Midnight, the upcoming title from Compulsion Games, the studio behind We Happy Few, took center stage with a detailed three-minute story trailer. The game explores the life of Hazel, the protagonist, and her complex interactions with mythical creatures of the Deep South. Xbox and Compulsion Games have been ramping up the game’s marketing, including a behind-the-scenes documentary released last November.
South of Midnight is set to launch on April 8 for Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on Windows PC, and Steam, featuring cross-entitlements and cross-saves. Players who opt for the Premium Edition can dive in up to five days early, starting April 3.
